Fons de Rouw and Ronnie Wolff in the AD: “Surely you don’t let a club like that fizzle out?”

After years of dedication, the previous board stepped down, and the continuity of the The Hague Jazz Club came under pressure. Chairman Ronnie Wolff (90) However, he did not want to accept that a club with such a long history of jazz in The Hague would simply disappear. Together with a new board, he rolled up his sleeves.
In the article, Ronnie talks about his love for jazz and his long-standing connection with music. Also a former chairman Fons de Rouw takes the floor. He looks back on his long period at the club and expresses his confidence in Ronnie and the new board.

The plans for the future are clear: the Haagse Jazz Club wants to preserve its rich tradition while simultaneously reaching new visitors and younger generations. The revamped website, social media, and a fresh look, among other things, are intended to help achieve this.

The Hague Jazz Club has existed since shortly after the Second World War and has had the privilege of welcoming many famous jazz musicians throughout its history. Even now, the basic principle remains the same: live jazz, dancing, meeting people, and above all, enjoying music together.
