The Haagse Jazz Club has been running on passion, commitment, and love for jazz for over 80 years. Behind every Sunday afternoon full of music stands an enthusiastic team of board members and volunteers who happily dedicate themselves to the club and its visitors.
From programming and organization to technical aspects, reception, photography, communication, and the convivial atmosphere in the venue — everything is made possible by people who have a warm heart for jazz.
The board safeguards the rich tradition of the Haagse Jazz Club, but at the same time looks ahead to new ideas, new visitors, and the future of live jazz in The Hague.
Our volunteers are also indispensable. Thanks to their dedication, every afternoon feels personal, welcoming, and familiar. Their enthusiasm and commitment make the Haagse Jazz Club more than just a concert venue — it is a place where music and people come together.

Ronny Wolff – Chairman
Ronny is the chairman of the Haagse Jazz Club and focuses on the club’s overall direction. Together with the other board members, he ensures that the HJC continues to develop while simultaneously retaining its familiar character.
Wout van den Berg – Treasurer
Wout manages the financial affairs of the Haagse Jazz Club. He ensures meticulous record-keeping and, together with the board, keeps an eye on the financial health of the association.
Jonadab Spies – Secretary
Jonadab is the secretary of the The Hague Jazz Club and handles administrative matters and correspondence. In addition, he plays an important role in communication within the association.
Roel Evenblij – General organization
Roel supports the The Hague Jazz Club with general organization and helps ensure that the club afternoons and other activities run smoothly. Board meetings are also regularly held at his place, where he makes sure we want for nothing. With coffee, treats, food, and drinks, he keeps us going during the meetings, which sometimes last for hours.
Hattem van der Burg – Program
Hattem is involved in the musical programming of the The Hague Jazz Club. He puts together a varied program with bands and musicians that suit the character of the HJC.
Sandra Kochańska – PR
Sandra handles public relations for the Haagse Jazz Club and helps make the club visible to a wider audience. She maintains contacts and contributes to the promotion of our activities.
