A new logo for the Hague Jazz Club

The Hague Jazz Club has a new logo. A fresh, recognizable look that brings together our rich history and love for live jazz.

After many years, it was time for a fresh look that suits who we are today, without losing sight of our long history. The new logo combines the recognizable atmosphere of jazz with elements that refer to The Hague and our own identity as a club.

The Hague Jazz Club has a new look. A logo that not only bears our name but tells in a single image who we are and where we come from.

At the top stands the orchestra, the beating heart of the club. Musicians together on stage, deliberately including a woman in the ensemble. A reference to our long jazz tradition, but at the same time to a club that does not stand still and moves with the times.

A couple dances beside the musicians. For at the Hague Jazz Club, jazz is not just played and listened to. Jazz is experienced. Music sets people in motion, literally and figuratively, and brings them together.
A golden circle encloses the whole. It connects the various elements and refers to continuity, interconnectedness, and eighty years of The Hague jazz history. But at the bottom, that circle does not remain tightly closed. It transitions into undulating lines, as if the form itself begins to swing.

Those lines refer to the sea and to Scheveningen, inextricably linked to The Hague. At the same time, they can be seen as musical waves: sound, rhythm, improvisation, and movement. As if the music is flowing out of the club.
In the middle of those waves stands Jazz in blue. Not separate from the sea, but literally interwoven with it. The blue brings the coast into the logo and gives the whole a fresh, contemporary tone. The surrounding gold represents warmth, tradition, and character.
This way, they appear in a single image The Hague, Scheveningen, music, dance, history and movement together.

A logo that looks back at where we come from, but at the same time leaves room for everything that lies ahead.
