A Spectacular Start to the New Jazz Season!

October 4, 2026 – What a fantastic afternoon! With more than 130 guests, a wonderful atmosphere, and an outstanding performance by the Harbour Jazzband, the Haagse Jazz Club celebrated an unforgettable opening of the 2026–2027 season.

A new season, a new board, and a fresh new look! On Sunday, October 4, the Haagse Jazz Club once again opened its doors for an afternoon filled with music, friendship, and celebration. And what an afternoon it turned out to be!

The turnout was simply overwhelming. With more than 130 jazz enthusiasts in attendance, the venue was absolutely packed! Extra chairs had to be brought in to accommodate everyone, and unfortunately, the dance floor had to make way for the enthusiastic crowd. But that certainly didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Quite the opposite – the full house created a truly wonderful atmosphere!

A New Chapter for the Haagse Jazz Club
The afternoon began with an opening speech by our new chairman, Ronny Wolff, who warmly welcomed everyone and officially declared the new jazz season open.
It was also a special occasion for our association. Not only did the Haagse Jazz Club introduce its renewed board, but the club also unveiled a fresh new appearance. A new chapter has begun, combining our rich jazz traditions with fresh ideas, renewed energy, and exciting opportunities for the future.
And while some things may change, the heart of our club remains exactly the same: enjoying fantastic live music together, reconnecting with familiar faces, making new friends, and above all, sharing our love of jazz.

Harbour Jazzband Delivers a Fantastic Performance
As tradition has it, the musical opening of the season was entrusted to the Harbour Jazzband. And what a magnificent concert they delivered!
With their infectious enthusiasm, outstanding musicianship, and wonderful jazz sounds, the band captivated the audience from the very beginning. The music, the warm atmosphere, and the energy throughout the room made this first gathering of the season a truly memorable occasion.
We couldn’t have wished for a better musical start to the new season!

Here’s to a Wonderful New Jazz Season!
We look back on this special Sunday with enormous pleasure and gratitude. The incredible turnout demonstrates just how vibrant our association is and how many people hold the Haagse Jazz Club close to their hearts.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the Harbour Jazzband for their fantastic performance, to all the volunteers and everyone involved in making this afternoon possible, and of course, to our wonderful guests. You made this season opening such a tremendous success!

The stage is set for the new season. And if this first afternoon is anything to go by, we have a truly wonderful year of jazz ahead of us!

We look forward to welcoming you again at our next jazz afternoon
